Many pastors are afraid to release prophesy, deliverance, and other supernatural ministries for fear of losing control. These things cannot be administrated and organized in the flesh. Many pastors think in terms of maintaining order and safety within the local church. The apostolic and prophetic gifts are more radical and progressive. Apostles are pioneers and risk takers. They are not afraid to receive and release new things.
It has always been a radical concept to release the majority. Most religious leaders are afraid to do so. They are afraid they will lose control. Apostles help create new wineskins. Old wineskins cannot handle this kind of expansion. Old wineskins are rigid and inflexible. Organizations and churches often become legalistic and dogmatic. It is their way or no way. When this happens, God raises up apostolic and prophetic leadership, which brings a fresh word and help to create new wineskins. These anointings are more radical and progressive.
